I can't believe I have been alive for 18 years! I still feel like i am a 12 years old sometimes! My life will soon be changing completely! I will be off to college, and living on my own. Even though I've been waiting for it for what seems like forever, I can't believe how close it is. I didn't think my 18th birthday would be any different from any other birthday I have had, but it is now that I am finally beginning to fully understand and appreciate all that my parents and older siblings have done for me. The morning of my 18th birthday I was about to walk out the door for school, and my dad said, "Gen, your 18 now. Hand over the car and your cell phone. You are on your own." Of course he was joking, but it really hit me hard. They have done so much for me, and they mean even more. Their examples mean the world to me. I also am realizing I don't know everything :) I definitely have a lot to learn. But I do know who I am, and I have big goals for myself. I hope I have a bright future ahead of me.


Dear family.... thank you for absolutely everything! You've made me the 18 year old gentry I am today!!
